SALMOND SET TO TAKE POSITIVE CASE FOR EUROPE ACROSS UK

Former First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, will have campaigned in every nation of the United Kingdom by June 23rd, the date of the European Referendum vote.

Mr Salmond has already campaigned in Scotland, and is set to address students at the University of Oxford onThursday 9 June and in Northern Ireland between 11-12 June.

He will then go on to Cardiff to meet with Plaid Cymru leader, Leanne Wood later in next week.

Commenting, Mr Salmond said:

"It is vital that the positive case for Europe reaches every corner of the British Isles.

"I look forward to sharing this positive case with our neighbours in Northern Ireland and Wales, alongside my colleagues in the Remain camp who are working hard to promote that message in their home nations.

"Whether people are from Lisburn, Llanelli, Liverpool or Leith, the European Union Referendum will affect us all. I believe in remaining within the EU, and will continue to promote the ideal of a promising future as part of it."
